Mr.
Rajiv K Poddar, Hony Secretary ELMA too described the present
power scenario in the state of West Bengal and opined on the
need of solar energy as the only possible alternative to the
electricity. In his speech, Mr. Poddar described in details
the captive power conditions in the state as a substitute

the state. He assured the members of ELMA towards support in all
respect for manufacturing the alternate captive power generation
solar systems in the future. He narrated that serious works have

using solar energy. Off grid home lighting systems in Sunderbans
are classic examples for proper utilization of solar energy where
geographically it is not possible to provide electricity through
grid lines.
