Tolly Film Review - Sabuj Saathi

Swapan Saha's "Sabuj Sathi" is nothing but all about the love of Sabuj (Prasenjit) & Sathi (Rachana Banerjee). Those who are aware of Swapan Saha's films they would not dare to find the causes behind every effects. They should not also look after every detailed works as he only concentrated on finishing the film as fast as he can.

Sabuj is a student but his world revolves around his dream girl Sathi only. He is the son of the Professor of History (Bodhisatta Majumder) & he never lies to his mother (Labani Sarkar). He could not express his love when he found that his only close friend (Avishek) and his dreamgirl Sathi are in love with each other. So to keep his friend's love away from all misdeeds Sabuj leaves his parents and becomes independent by selling soft-toys in the footpath! Apart from this, the love of Sabuj is attached with the sentiment of a 50 rupee note which he got from Sathi on the very first day he saw her. Sabuj sacrifices his love for his friend but his friend rejects Sathi to save his family & his sister (Moumita Chakraborty). Though Sabuj & sathi are attached with each others emotions & sentiments, Sathi could not feel that Sabuj loves her. But the 50 rupee note made her feel that Sabuj loves her after he was rejected from her boy-friend.

"Sabuj Sathi" would definitely strengthen the on-screen pair of Prasenjit & Rachana. The song sequences are amidst the picturesque beauty of snowy hills & excellent locations which definitely add to romantic pair. But Rachana should sharpen her loud acting. The wealth of this film is its music. Swapan Saha knows to add the right kind of spices to serve to his class of audiences. Thus he is undoubtedly successful to make his film a hit.
